Bhubaneswar, September 30, 2025 – Dr. Huzaifa Khorakiwala, Executive Director of Wockhardt Limited, CEO of Wockhardt Foundation, and Founder of the I AM PEACEKEEPER Movement, was conferred the Honorary Doctor of Letters (D.Litt. – Honoris Causa) by KIIT Deemed to be University at its 21st Convocation held in Bhubaneswar.
The prestigious recognition was awarded in acknowledgement of his outstanding contributions to global humanitarian service, healthcare access, and peace advocacy.

A Prestigious Gathering at KIIT Convocation
The convocation ceremony, held on September 26, 2025, at the KIIT University campus, witnessed the presence of distinguished dignitaries, academicians, and graduating students.
Among the esteemed guests were Nobel Laureate Prof. Mohan Munasinghe as Chief Guest, alongside Mr. Ashok Kumar Parija, Chancellor of KIIT University, Prof. N.L. Mitra, Professor Emeritus and Former Chancellor, and Prof. Saranjit Singh, Vice Chancellor.
The event celebrated both the academic achievements of students and the impactful contributions of leaders like Dr. Khorakiwala, whose work exemplifies KIIT’s mission of blending academic excellence with social impact.
About Dr. Huzaifa Khorakiwala
Dr. Huzaifa Khorakiwala is a distinguished humanitarian, peace advocate, and business leader. As Executive Director of Wockhardt Ltd., a leading global pharmaceutical and biotechnology company, and CEO of Wockhardt Foundation, he has spearheaded transformative programs in healthcare, education, and sanitation.
Under his leadership, the Foundation’s flagship Mobile 1000 initiative has delivered free primary healthcare to over 40 million underprivileged people in rural India over the past 12 years.
The I AM PEACEKEEPER Global Movement
In 2011, Dr. Khorakiwala founded the I AM PEACEKEEPER Movement, which today unites over two million Peacekeepers worldwide around seven core values: Truth, Gratitude, Forgiveness, Love, Humility, Giving, and Patience.
In April 2025, he also launched the Global Justice, Love & Peace Summit in Dubai, bringing together 10 Nobel Peace Laureates and unveiling the Peace Charter, described as a symbolic “Love Letter to Humanity.”
